About Me I was born and raised in the South, and my spirituality flows from my experiences with the land there. I've been fortunate to have wonderful teachers in the Craft and in life. There's a special place in my heart for music as magic. I appreciate highly structured, disciplined ritual (which I enjoy as a Gardnerian initiate), and also wild ecstatic work (which I enjoy as a Feri initiate). Waxing Moon Circle is my home coven.
Music Tempest, Enya, Annwn, Kitka, Four Shillings Short, Avalon Rising, the Doors, Kathy Marr, Libana, Gwydion, Weird Al Yankovic.
Movies Sorceress; Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring; anything by Akira Kurosawa; anything with Toshiro Mifune; The Wicker man (original only); the Harry Potter films; Fantasia (orginal), recent work of Jackie Chan.
TV Carnivale, Battlestar Galactica (new one only), Dr. Who, Star Trek (all of them), Babylon-5, Northern Exposure, Robin of Sherwood.
Books The Tao Te Ching (by a very long lead); Inanna, Queen of Heaven and Earth; Drawing Down the Moon; everything by Isaac Bonewits; Equal Rites; The Mists of Avalon; all the Harry Potter books; Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady.
Likes Latin language, ancient history, horseback riding, skiing, skating, creative cooking, music, the Internet.
Dislikes Bureaucracy, time-wasting, too much talk and not enough action, inanimate objects that do not work as they are supposed to, fundamentalisms (all of them), the Bush administration, voting machines, the venal nature of much of Western society.
Hobbies Sewing, reading, drawing, thrift shopping, going to science fiction conventions.
Vices Feminine vanity (pretty clothes, jewelry, etc.), thrift shopping, eBay, Cherry Coke, chocolate, sugar, tardiness, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, and a temper (I'm usually very patient; but when I do lose my temper, look out!)
Virtues Thrift, diplomacy, gentleness, compassion, academic skepticism, and a reasonable dose of intelligence.
Heroes In no special order: Hypatia, Eleanor of Aquitaine, the Spartans at Thermopylae, Sokrates, Susan B. Anthony, Isaac Bonewits.

Too bad there's no Tech Support here...

Any Savvy Site Users out there to Help?

Well, I have never written a blog before--I'm too busy a person to keep up a blog!  But now I am writing to it out of desperation:  I'm having a problem with the site and there's no Tech Support!  When I click on "help" all I get is a totally useless FAQ that addresses nothing of use to me;  and the box "Covenspace Help Desk" is not clickable!

Definitely an amateur site. Oh, well.  It's better than nothing.

The problem I'm having is that  one of my groups--Kissed 45 Goodbye--isn't showing up in my Groups list.  But the group's page does have a link I can click to leave the group.

Finally, the group Ancient Greeks does show up in my list, but without a "view group" link that the others have. I can go to the group by clicking on their picture in my groups list, though.

The only way I get to see all my groups is to go to the "manage groups" page.  Fortunately, they do all show up there.

Any idea why this is the case?

    Grumbling,

     Valerie
